We are looking for an experienced hands-on people-oriented professional to drive the reliability and continuous improvement of our capability blueprint. This role involves leading cross-border initiatives and collaborating with key stakeholders within COO Finance and the CFO organisation across head office and countries.

You will be located in the Netherlands and work with your teams in Manila and Amsterdam.

Work Environment

COO Finance (COOF) is an independent unit reporting to INGs COO with a permanent seat in the Management team of CFO. It is accountable for executing the CFO and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank. The COOF mission is to enable excellence in Finance with real time business insights derived from state of the art technologies optimal use of data and highly effective operations.

The newly established integrated CoE Operational Effectiveness & Control (COMET) will support COOF in driving and realizing its strategic ambitions and operating model effectiveness enabling services that are simple scalable digital (and AI enabled) controlled & compliant and consistent in performance.

The Intelligent Automation team brings together expertise to drive (end 2 end) process digitalization and foster innovation across the Finance function and implement automation with no/low code solutions under a strong controlled delivery model. The CoE collaborates with internal and external communities to inject new skills and thought leadership supporting Fiannce and COOFs transformation and digitalization ambition.

Your Role

As Expert Lead you set the vision and standards for the intelligent automation portfolios and lead a cross border team of experts in our offshore Hubs and Amsterdam. You will be reporting to the Lead CoE Operating Model Effectiveness and Transformation (COMET).

The Expert Lead Intelligent Automation will be driving the intelligent automation agenda for Finance and bring thought leadership in digitalization and innovation of COOF services and Finance processes. The team also organizes and governs the delivery and maintenance of intelligent automation solutions provided via specific no/low code solutions for COOF and rest of Finance. This role includes the adoption and use of AI to tangible use cases with Business Case for Finance.

You are responsible for delivering and maintaining automation solutions ensuring robust governance and connecting with communities to drive adoption and innovation. You dedicate 30% of your time to people leadership and 70% to portfolio strategy and delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

As Expert Lead you take responsibility for:

• Drive the intelligent automation agenda for Finance bringing thought leadership and expertise on automation and AI.

• Deliver and maintain automation solutions for Finance and COOF ensuring a strong controlled execution model.

• Ensure clear reporting and governance and stimulate business case development for automation initiatives.

• Collaborate and advise Finance stakeholders to maximize the impact of intelligent automation and embed it in our way of working.

• Build develop and manage a high-performing team; prioritize work and align with COOF priorities.

• Support COOF management team and stakeholder engagement.

Furthermore you have:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field with a strong focus on automation artificial intelligence or data science.

• 5 years in management and leadership roles.

• 5years of hands-on experience in propositions designing implementing and managing automation solutions (such as RPA PowerBI AI or machine learning) within financial services or large organizations.

• Proven track record in leading automation projects from concept to deployment including governance and stakeholder management.

• Experience with automation platforms and AI technologies is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-border teams in a complex transforming and multi-country environment.
