Engineers at AtkinsRéalis are at the heart of delivering transformative projects in the UK nuclear industry reducing carbon emissions whilst achieving future energy security. Your work will span across areas including new nuclear power station design developing fusion technologies or implementing new nuclear waste management processes.

AtkinsRéalis is looking to grow our team of process engineers within the Nuclear & Power business. If you have the passion to join some of these exciting projects then we would love to discuss with you!

We work collaboratively to solve technical challenges across the entire project lifecycle from concept design to decommissioning. Our day-to-day activities include production of various process engineering deliverables (process sizing calculations heat & material balances P&IDs etc.) process modelling and process safety activities (HAZID/HAZOP studies DSEAR assessments etc.).

Your role

• However here are some ideal qualities:
• Experience in chemical process simulation software packages to design optimize and troubleshoot chemical processes.
• Collaborate across the AtkinsRéalis business to provide your technical expertise where it is needed the most giving our clients the best engineering solutions.
• Strengthen the delivery of work through a variety of means including full-time embedded resource within client offices site-based roles and in-house engineering support from AtkinsRéalis offices.
• Focused on providing high quality work to the client.

About you

• BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering working towards Chartership with the IChemE.
• Experience in the nuclear industry would be useful but not required we welcome the learning you can bring from other industries.
• Communicate well in written and verbal form.
• Keen to play your part in making AtkinsRéalis a great place to work.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
