Within eBay Commerce Inc. (eCI) theFinancial Intelligence Unit (FIU)plays a critical role in driving the companysBank Secrecy Act (BSA) and AML compliance program.The team conducts advanced financial crime investigationsidentifiesemerging typologies and ensures compliance with regulatory expectations including theBSA and USA PATRIOT Act.
The FIUs mission is to safeguard eBays marketplace through expert investigation analytical excellence and a deep commitment to ethical compliant business practicesensuring that commerceremainssafe transparent and trustworthy worldwide.
As anInvestigator Iwithin eBays Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) you will support the detection analysis and reporting of potential financial crimes. This is an entry-level investigative role designed to build core AML and investigative skills. You will conduct reviews of customer activity collect relevant data andassistin preparing regulatory reports under supervision.
WhatYou WillDo
Conduct assigned investigations focused on routine or lower-risk activityin accordance withestablished procedures.
Analyze transactional data and customer behavior toidentifyindicators of suspicious activity.
Gather and organize supporting documentation including KYC information payment details and accounthistory.
Draft preliminary findings andassistin preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Maintain organized case documentation and adhere toestablishedSLA and quality standards.
Stay current on basic AML/BSA and eCommerce risk concepts through training and mentorship.
WhatYou Will Bring:
12 years of AML fraud prevention or compliance-related experience preferred.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Foundational knowledge of BSA/AML laws and investigative processes.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel; ability to learn SQL and case management systems.
Excellent attention to detail accuracy and time management.
Eagernessto learnandanopennessto coaching.
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$60000 - $101500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
