How youll contribute

An Assessment Lead who excels in this role:

• Facilitates response to request for services including the initial response the assessment and referral process the designation of appropriate level of care admission into services and appropriate follow up activity.
• Conducts initial evaluation initiates the assessment documenting patient symptomology functioning needs and provides information to the MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients physicians visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Possesses clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
• Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy completes all pre-certification with insurance companies.
• Ensures appropriate staffing for shift. Minimizes use of overtime. Assists in monitoring attendance.
• Educates and coaches staff and acts as point person for clinical decisions. Reports all issues and incidents to the Director of Assessment appropriately.
• Ensures staff has completed all needed documentation call logging insurance calls and additional tasks prior to the end of shift.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling (required) RN licensure may be used in place of masters degree or per state regulations. Additional requirements include:

• Current unencumbered Clinical or Social Work License. RN license may be accepted. Valid drivers license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) along with proof of insurance when using own auto.

• CPR and De-escalation Training within 30 days

• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
