The Food Service Supervisor assists the director of food and nutrition Services to direct the entire food and nutrition services department and reports directly to the director of food and nutrition services. The supervisor must have basic knowledge and experience in all phases of food purchasing preparation production control budgeting inventory control safety sanitation equipment food and labor cost control menu development and must work well under the direction of the director of food and nutrition services.
Licenses and Certifications Required None Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of Dietary Manager Course preferred. Experience Requirements 1-2 years of supervisory skills required. Experience in resident food service is desirable. Experience in working with patients and modified diets preferred. Knowledge preferred in the ability to write care plans. Special Skills or Training Requirements Ability to oversee department in absence of manager. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Be adaptable to changing work schedule. Function well under pressure. Prioritize work duties to complete duties of the job. Uphold and maintain standards of the department. Possess good communication skills. Possess mathematical skills for accurate calculation of calorie counts meal pattern and menu writing. Able to work without supervision.Required Experience:
