Supporting the Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer assists in carrying out the activities of Frederick Health Inc. (FH) Compliance Program. Plans and executes risk-based audits to ensure the health system adheres to regulatory requirements internal policies and industry best practices. This position evaluates internal controls identifies potential risks (fraud waste abuse) and works with operational clinical and revenue cycle departments to develop corrective action plans. Provides system wide compliance training & education policy development and internal investigations.
Supports the Mission of Frederick Health and complies with the hospitals Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior.
Minimum Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:
BA/BS required or equivalent work experience MBA/MHA preferred.
Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Processional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA).
3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance and internal auditing in a healthcare environment (hospital health system or payer).
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of CMS Guidelines OIG compliance program guidance and HIPAA regulations.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems. Experence using data analysis tools (Tableau Power BI) preferred.
Experience in developing and carrying out training and education of staff.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality act independently and uphold ethical standards.

Pay is based on experience skills and education. If position is part-time salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid if applicable.
Salary Range - $67870.40 - $100131.20
