Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
Local Pay Range: $67$73/hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic interventional and electrophysiology procedures. This role requires expertise in circulating and monitoring functions strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. The RN will work closely with physicians technologists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes including participation in shared on-call coverage.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for cardiac vascular and interventional procedures
Perform circulating and monitoring roles during Cath Lab procedures (rotated per case)
Continuously monitor patient hemodynamics ECG rhythms and clinical status
Administer medications per physician orders and facility protocols
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
Assist physicians and technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Respond promptly to emergency situations including cardiac arrest or procedural complications
Accurately document patient care procedures medications and outcomes
Participate in scheduled on-call coverage including nights and weekends
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure proper use handling and maintenance of Cath Lab equipment and supplies
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact as applicable)
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy hemodynamics and interventional procedures
Experience with diagnostic catheterizations PCI EP and structural heart procedures preferred
