In this role youll oversee labor and delivery care from admission through postpartum recovery collaborating with obstetricians anesthesiologists neonatologists and nursing teams to ensure safety comfort and optimal outcomes. Your key responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal status assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean procedures managing relief of pain and anesthesia-related requirements performing newborn assessments supporting lactation and parental education and providing clear compassionate discharge planning. Youll maintain meticulous documentation monitor medication administration and contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
