Task Responsibilities:
The position holder has responsibility for his country and represents the company towards internal and external community. He must act as role model respect rules procedures and regulations and demonstrate best practice.
Promote the Cargolux products by:
- Maintaining contact with the customers.
- Analysing available data to take commercial decisions.
- Producing regular statistics on tonnage sold and revenues achieved in order to monitor performance.
- Evaluating the evolution of the market and thus assessing the eventual need of expansion of the Cargolux entities in the Netherlands.
- Developing sales and marketing action plans.
- Negotiating sales terms and conditions with customers.
- Guide and supervise staff reporting directly or indirectly to him/herself
- Prepare strategic proposals and previews on upcoming trends.
Manage all administrative processes of the station(s) by:
- Defining tasks and duties within theNetherlands.
- Managing and directing staff.
- Providing training on the job for staff.
- Performing budget management and cost control.
- Regularly revising and improving administrative processes and procedures.
- Managing local expense accounts versus local station expenses.
- Coordinating payroll data with local accountant.
- Collecting and producing data input for invoicing and revenue calculation.
- Act as legal representative of the company in the country at all effects.
- Notifying the relevant department of the company about new legal requirements or administration procedures of the Country that might have an impact on Cargoluxs operations or activities.
- Coordinating and supervising the activities of legal advisors and consultants in the country.
- Ensuring compliance rules and regulations set by the company is adhered to at all times.
- Preparing sales reports on volumes and comparing results versus targets.
- Representing the company as official representative at trade association meetings and other events to promote Cargolux products.
- Attending educational workshops fares and exhibitions
Essential Requirements For The Position:
- At least 10-15 years of experience in a sales position
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the air cargo industry with a major airline or forwarder
- Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior management level
- Have excellent know-how and experience in the air cargo industry
- Have highly developed skills in interacting with people of various cultural backgrounds in integrating and building groups
- Ability to manage and lead a team in a multicultural environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change within a fast paced environment
- Be able to deal with tight deadlines
- Be assertive and able to work independently
- Be fluent in English and Dutch (oral/written)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
Working Conditions:
- A Certificate of good conduct will be required in case of positive selection
- Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network
