Job Summary
- Design and development of device descriptions (EDDL FDI FDT/DTM) that enable seamless integration of field devices into control systems.
- Ensuring quality and compliance through validation processes.
Develop Proof-of-Concepts prototypes and conduct feasibility analysis for new concepts/technologies of Device Descriptors using Field Device Integration (FDI) technology.
- Collaborating across disciplines.
Reverse engineering troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing DDs.
- Expected to take on additional responsibilities as needed and operate effectively with minimal support.
You are an engineer responsible for designing and developing device descriptors for field devices using FDI technology.
You bring knowledge about device descriptors and device communication protocols.
You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to help build intuitive reliable and standards-compliant interfaces for field devices.
- Bachelors degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in Device Description development / testing device integration commercial software product development.
Proficient in: Device description languages (EDDL FDI FDT/DTM) Embedded C/C.
Familiarity with industrial protocols (HART PROFIBUS FOUNDATION Fieldbus OPC UA) and field devices.
- Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate ability to work in a complex team structure including distributed (I.e. global) teams.
Experience working with Global teams
Familiarity with scripting Python JavaScript CSS and HTML5.
