Job Summary
We are an independent clinical research site seeking an experienced PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site nursing support for starting IV lines and supporting protocol-required procedures on an as-needed basis.
This position is ideal for nurses seeking flexible hours supplemental income or experience in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Start and manage peripheral IV lines per protocol and site SOPs
- Monitor subjects during and after procedures for adverse reactions
- Maintain strict adherence to GCP protocol requirements and aseptic technique
- Accurately document procedures in source documents and CRFs as required
- Communicate effectively with study coordinators investigators and subjects
- Assist with subject comfort education and safety during study visits
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in State
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (infusion outpatient ER)
- Demonstrated proficiency in starting IVs including difficult access
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PK sampling or infusion studies
- GCP training (or willingness to complete prior to first shift)
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings
Additional Information
- Position is on-site only
- Hours are scheduled based on study needs (typically weekday business hours)
- All required training SOP review and protocol training will be provided
- Must be willing to be listed on the Delegation of Authority Log
