Were creating an employee listening system that helps build a workplace where Amazonians can invent and deliver on behalf of customers. Our products and services are used by 2.4 million employees every day and enable Amazon to collect employee sentiment on topics like Job Satisfaction Career Growth Day 1 Culture and more. We generate data metrics and insights in the right places to drive high quality high velocity high impact decisions.

Our team combines the culture of a startup the innovation and creativity of an R&D lab and technical challenges at the scale of Amazon. We expect TPMs engineers and management alike to take a high-level of ownership for the product vision technical architecture and project delivery. Successful candidates will be high-bandwidth leaders who can cut through the noise simplify relentlessly deliver results and help build great teams around themselves.


Key job responsibilities
* Work closely with technical leaders and product managers to compose and influence the product vision roadmap org goals planning and backlog prioritization.
* Lead high-visibility cross-team initiatives including scoping requirements gathering technical design implementation and launch phases. This includes evaluating and recommending technical solutions to meet customer requirements ensuring long-term scalability and meeting project timelines.
* Identify system and process deficiencies and lead the charge to drive meaningful change. This includes writing effective narratives and presenting them to Directors and VPs.
* Engage with other HR teams to proactively identify integration points within talent management systems.
* Be a technical problem solver on the team identifying innovative solutions to prevent deadlocks and resolving issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
* Help teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood/documented ineffective cross-team collaboration inadequate system design insufficient testing/gaps in QA etc.)
* Demonstrate strong program management organizational and leadership skills to facilitate effective collaborative project meetings.
* Collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry.
* Contribute to delivering highly available performant and secure software at Amazon scale.

A day in the life
* Meet with Product Science and Tech leadership to identify areas to improve and grow employee listening at Amazon.
* Build and run org-wide mechanisms.
* Attend and influence design discussions.
* Drive quarterly and yearly organization planning.
* Lead delivery of x-team and x-org initiatives.

About the team
The AMX Employee Listening organization serves as Amazons central hub for employee intelligence providing tools and systems that collect analyze and deliver employee feedback and insights across the entire company. We gather intelligence through both active channels (where employees directly share feedback) and ambient channels (which capture how employees experience work through their digital activities and interactions). This comprehensive approach enables Amazon to understand and improve the workplace through data-driven decision making supporting our goal to be Earths Best Employer.

Our ecosystem reaches nearly 2.4 million Amazon employees and affiliates daily. Active listening tools like Connections MyVoice and Amazon Surveys collect direct feedback while ambient listening channels analyze workplace activity digital communication productivity and physical presence data. These diverse data sources are integrated and shared with scientists HRBPs managers leaders business intelligence engineers program managers and other product teams through APIs empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance the employee experience.


- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
