Electrical Engineer / Designer Power Systems & Estimating

Were seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our team and take ownership of both design and estimating functions.
Job Summary:As an Electrical Engineer/Designer you will play a key role in designing power distribution systems and preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This is a dynamic opportunity to impact both the technical and financial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical power distribution systems (service entrance feeders panels lighting etc.) per NEC and local codes.
- Develop one-line diagrams load calculations and layouts using AutoCAD Revit and related tools.
- Conduct lighting design voltage drop calculations and coordination studies.
- Prepare cost estimates for all design phases using Accubid or equivalent software.
- Analyze construction documents to produce accurate material take-offs and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with architects engineers and contractors to align design with project budgets.
- Respond to RFIs and support construction teams during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and promote sustainable design practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; however candidates without a degree may be considered if they hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Designer of Engineering Systems license which is preferred in lieu of a degree.
- 37 years of experience in electrical design and estimating.
- Experience in design-build or general contractor environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and Accubid (or similar estimating tools).
- Strong knowledge of NEC and construction standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple estimates and designs simultaneously.
- LEED certification and BIM experience are a plus.
