Are you interested in working with a leading education technology player the global leader in the assessment and certification of professional skills industry with presence in more than 200 countries worldwide

A PeopleCert Senior Chief Examiners role involvesleading and monitoring teams of examiners and markers to ensure assessment quality and consistency managing appeals and adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing the marking of scripts and interviews conducting standardization sessions evaluating team performance and ensuring deadlines are met. The role requires strong leadership adherence to procedures and a commitment to the companys values of quality passion integrity and innovation.

Key responsibilities

  • Team management:Manage and support a team of Chief Examiners and Markers.
  • Quality assurance:Ensure the consistent and reliable application of assessment standards and criteria across qualifications and exams.
  • Monitoring and evaluation:Oversee the marking of scripts and interviews and evaluate the performance of the marking team according to policies and procedures.
  • Standardization:Participate in and lead standardization sessions to ensure assessment principles are applied consistently.
  • Appeal and special consideration:Manage appeal applications and requests for special considerations.
  • Process adherence:Implement and adhere to PeopleCerts Integrated Management System including all procedures policies and work instructions.
  • Deadline management:Ensure that all tasks and processes adhere to specified deadlines.

What we look for:

  • Bachelors degree in English Language or similar field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the ELT sector & demonstrable assessment experience
  • Prior working experience in the certification of persons and/or training and exam fields is desirable
  • A prestigious Teaching Qualification
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent understanding of assessment principles and quality control.
  • Experience in managing teams and evaluating performance.
  • Ability to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and implementing procedures and policies.
  • Advanced written and spoken English (C2 level certification desired LANGUAGECERT C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
  • Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organized self-driven flexible and able to work in a high-volume fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK background checks will include:

A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality identity and place of residence)

HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

Financial background check

Employment reference check

If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) the official language of the relevant country.
