Job Summary

Job Title: Import & Freight Administrator

Location: Pinellas Park FL 33782 (Onsite / HYBRID)

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Pay Rate: $31.43/hr. W2 All Inclusive

WORK SCHEDULE & ENGAGEMENT DETAILS

  • Work Hours: Mon Fri 8 hours per day (typically 8:00 AM 4:30 PM including a 30-minute break)
  • Start Time Flexibility: Possible 7:00 AM start
  • Work Model: Fully onsite for the first 2 4 weeks for training then hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

JOB OVERVIEW

The Import & Freight Administrator will support North America Logistics operations with a strong focus on US import compliance international freight management and financial reconciliation related to duties and customs entries. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance accurate reporting and continuity of operations during an approved leave of absence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Import & Finance Operations

  • Reviews Duty Invoices for accuracy and approves for payment
  • Provides detailed entry summaries to third-party brokerage firms for computed value
  • Performs reconciliation processes related to duties and import costs
  • Provides monthly detailed entry summaries to Finance for duty cross-charging to corporate headquarters
  • Coordinates year-end deliveries to meet working capital objectives of the parent company and Transitions business
  • Provides documentation required by auditors on a quarterly basis
  • Acts as backup support for other team roles as needed

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Adheres to regulatory requirements for entry documentation and electronic retention
  • Ensures supplying facilities adhere to US Customs requirements as documented in the CTPAT program
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in the ACE portal (US Customs software)
  • Coordinates with the parent company on the scope of compliance activities performed on Transitions behalf

KEY REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE)

  • 3 5 years of experience in US import & logistics
  • Knowledge of US Import regulations
  • Knowledge of international freight management
  • Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects set priorities and drive results in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
