Youll combine the energy and speed of a startup with the clients stability and resources of iO. We are looking someone to join our office in Sofia.

As AI Engineer for iO Bonzai youll build and optimize our AI & Automation platform. Youll work on conversational AI agentic workflows RAG systems and integrations with multiple AI models. Youll be hands-on with code collaborate with a talented team and contribute to a productEng used by both internal teams and external clients.

Youll be part of the multidisciplinary product development team (Lead AI Engineer Software Engineers Cloud Operations Product Manager) and work closely with business development & customer success teams. You report to the Lead AI Engineer & Product Manager.

iO Bonzai is our proprietary AI & Automation platform that makes the power of AI accessible to both internal teams and external clients. Its an ecosystem where we make generative AI available through Chat Apps and Connect.

What youll do:

• Develop AI features and capabilities for the iO Bonzai platform using modern AI frameworks

• Build conversational AI experiences including custom AI assistants and chatbots

• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems to connect AI with knowledge sources

• Create AI automation workflows using tools like n8n and MCP (Model Context Protocol)

• Integrate multiple AI models (Azure OpenAI Google Gemini Anthropic) via LiteLLM and LangChain

• Develop agentic AI solutions that can execute tasks autonomously

• Build and optimize prompts for various use cases and industries

• Implement observability and monitoring with Langfuse to ensure AI quality

• Work with vector databases for semantic search and context retrieval

• Collaborate with Cloud Operations on scalable Azure infrastructure

• Stay up-to-date with AI developments and propose new features and improvements

• 3 years of experience as Software Engineer AI Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer

• Full stack programming skills in Python TypeScript & React

• Experience with LLMs and generative AI (OpenAI Anthropic Google or similar)

• Familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain LlamaIndex or similar orchestration tools

• Understanding of prompt engineering and how to optimize AI outputs

• Experience with APIs and building integrations

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure)

• High degree of Gen AI adoption - you actively use AI tools in your daily work

• Problem-solving mindset - you enjoy tackling complex technical challenges

• Team player - you collaborate well and share knowledge

• Good communication skills in English

• Eagerness to learn - AI is evolving fast and you love keeping up

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) n8n LiteLLM MCP Context Forge

• Knowledge of conversational AI platforms (LibreChat Botpress or similar)

• Experience with vector databases (Azure AI Search Weaviate etc)

• Understanding of multi-agent systems and orchestration

• Experience with workflow automation tools (n8n Zapier Make)

• Knowledge of RAG optimization techniques

• Understanding of eval tools in AI systems
