Our St. Paul float team is an integral part of nursing services and provides a valuable resource to the entire Childrens Minnesota St. Paul Campus. Float team members apply skills in a number of areas and are extremely knowledgeable resourceful and flexible with the care they provide and units they support. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support all medical surgical areas as well have the option of choosing the NICU or the PICU track (including the ED and PACU) while Unit Operations Coordinators and Clinical Support Associates hired into this area would support all the areas in the hospital on the St Paul campus.

Education Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current Minnesota RN licensure.
* Current BLS certification.
*One (1) year experience (within the last 2 years) working with specialized patient population (e.g. Neurosciences inpatient psychiatry). Pediatric experience preferred.
*An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position.
* Based upon the unit in which you are applying additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
* Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification required or obtained during orientation.
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
