Systems Engineer II

Join a team that designs develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Mechanical Systems and Components organization in the Actuation Group. You will be integral in creating design solutions for actuation systems across the aerospace industry from primary flight control actuation systems on aircraft to missiles and launch vehicles. You will be involved in every aspect of the system life cycle from the initial design concepts through product end of life.

• Physics based model development and system design
• Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
• Mechanical Systems validation & verification
• Understand actuation technology
• Metric development/reporting
• Hardware supplier technical communication/interface
• Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis
• Technical documentation Test plans procedures and reports
• Analysis of test data results
• Assess customer requirements documentation
• Assess Government regulatory requirements
• Design validation and verification through build and test execution
• Proposal development support of estimation of resources and schedule

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics
• At least 2 years of applied engineering experience

• Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
• Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
• Control theory basics (block diagram representations of nonlinear and linearized systems frequency response gain and phase margins time constants and interactions etc.
• Systems simulation (proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software)
• Thermodynamics experience
• Fluid dynamics experience
• Individuals that quickly analyze incorporate and apply new information and concepts
• Experience with MBSE tools.
• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
• Effective communicator
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
• Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
