Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Manager leads a high-performing inside sales team responsible for inside sales operations driving successful conversions and fostering a high-performance sales culture. The role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day inside sales activities coaching a team to meet conversion targets and developing strategies to enhance productivity customer engagement and lead conversion.
This leader will partner closely with the Manager of Business Development to design and refine strategies that improve conversion rates and overall program enrollment. They will also collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives and Account Management to coordinate the timing and prioritization of Inside calling campaigns. The Inside Sales Manager serves as the subject matter expert for all campaign service levels and deliverables contributes to the development of call scripts and talk tracks and manages the day-to-day operations of the Inside calling team to ensure an efficient compliant and high-performing sales process.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day leader of the Inside Sales team owning all aspects of people management including hiring onboarding coaching performance management and professional development.
- Establish clear performance expectations monitor individual and team results and implement improvement plans when needed to maintain high performance standards.
- Oversee daily operations of the Inside calling function ensuring staffing workflows and processes support efficient and compliant execution.
- Partner closely with Enterprise Sales and Account Management to develop and maintain the Inside campaign schedule ensuring campaigns are properly sequenced resourced and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Act as the subject matter expert on campaign service levels. Defining what constitutes a successful conversion setting quality standards and ensuring the team adheres to campaign requirements.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Business Development to refine talk tracks call scripts objection-handling frameworks and training materials that support high-quality customer conversations.
- Ensure accurate reporting documentation and tracking of conversion metrics opt-ins activations and outcomes across all campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to the VP of Growth highlighting trends insights bottlenecks and recommended improvements to enhance conversion performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency customer experience and team productivity through data analysis workflow optimization and feedback loops.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the success of the Inside sales function and the broader organization.
- Manage team escalations offering resolution support and guidance for complex customer issues.
Performance Metrics:
- Engagement Rate: Ensure the team is meeting or exceeding weekly Inside call totals.
- Conversion Rate: Ensure the team maintains a consistent conversion rate within the target range for each product.
Revenue Targets: Ensure the team meets or exceeds monthly quarterly and annual revenue targets set by the company.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience leading Inside/outbound sales teams of 10 with a proven track record of driving high conversion performance and achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to coach mentor and manage teams to KPI-driven outcomes including setting expectations tracking performance and delivering actionable feedback.
- Independent problem solver with the ability to take full ownership of team results proactively diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to managing performance identifying trends and optimizing conversion strategies.
- Self-motivated highly organized and capable of operating with autonomy in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Critical thinker with excellent judgment and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting strategies campaign priorities and customer needs.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to articulate expectations provide clear direction and maintain strong alignment with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to travel as required (10%)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5 years of experience leading inside sales teams in a remote call-center environment with a strong track record of managing high-volume outreach and delivering consistent conversion results.
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding conversion goals and driving measurable improvements in team performance.
- Experience hiring developing and managing sales teams including coaching performance management and accountability frameworks.
- Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Enterprise Sales Account Management and Business Development to support campaign execution and customer engagement initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging CRM tools reporting dashboards and sales performance data to inform decision-making optimize workflows and improve team outcomes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain at your designated workstation for the duration of the workday
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a phone and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range (typically on a computer screen)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to navigate airports conference venues and customer sites which may include extended periods of walking standing and occasional stair climbing.
