Job Summary
Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) Float Position
Location: Ashburn VA
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday
Shift: 8:50 AM 3:40 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $48 $54/hour
Weekly Pay: $1800 $2025
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Occupational Therapist (OT) to support a school-based program in Ashburn VA. This float position provides the opportunity to work across multiple school sites supporting students with diverse needs to enhance their academic participation and daily living skills.
This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy a collaborative educational environment variety in daily settings and a consistent weekday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Student Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive assessments focusing on fine motor skills sensory processing and self-care abilities within the school setting.
IEP Collaboration: Work closely with teachers parents and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Direct Therapy Services: Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions addressing handwriting classroom tool use and sensory regulation.
Assistive Technology: Recommend implement and train students and staff on adaptive equipment and assistive technology to promote independence.
Float Coverage: Provide therapy services across multiple school locations within the district as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes treatment plans and applicable billing records.
Qualifications
Education: Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active or eligible Virginia Occupational Therapy license.
Certification: Current NBCOT certification required.
Experience: Prior pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred.
Skills: Strong communication skills ability to work independently flexibility as a float therapist and familiarity with digital IEP systems.
