The role
We are seeking an experienced Coordinator Service Optimisation Program to play a pivotal role in shaping how Council delivers services to its community. This influential position leads Councils approach to service reviews and optimisation ensuring services are efficient sustainable and responsive to community needs.
Reporting to the Manager Organisational Strategy & People you will drive the development and delivery of a corporate service review framework aligned with Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements. Working in close partnership with senior leaders and teams across the organisation you will lead high-impact projects guide meaningful change and support the successful implementation of service improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a corporate framework for service reviews and service optimisation.
Partner with Senior Management to prioritise services for review.
Lead service review projects including analysis of service levels costs resourcing benchmarking and stakeholder needs.
Identify and support the implementation of service optimisation opportunities.
Deliver effective change management and communication initiatives.
Manage staff and contribute to budget development and cost control.
Ensure compliance with legislation and promote continuous improvement aligned with Council values.
What youll bring
You are a collaborative and analytical professional with experience in service reviews organisational improvement or change management. You will have demonstrated experience in the local government sector and building strong relationships in a dynamic environment.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $119000 p.a. plus superannuation.
A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. Council will provide you with a leaseback vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent Full Time.
