Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Senior Manager Logistics is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis for logistics operations managing the annual spend and partnering closely with Supply Chain leadership. This role provides strategic insights drives cost discipline and supports decision-making across transportation warehousing and related logistics activities.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own the logistics budget and forecasting process including annual planning and monthly updates.
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights on cost drivers and trends.
  • Lead month-end close activities for logistics ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary finance liaison for Supply Chain leadership providing transparency on logistics costs and performance.
  • Participate in monthly stakeholder reviews to discuss risks opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Support cost optimization projects and provide financial guidance on outsourcing and large-scale changes.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and develop two direct reports fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of deliverables and timelines.
  • Build executive presence and influence leadership on financial strategies and performance.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive process improvements in forecasting reporting and analytics to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls for logistics-related transactions.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to leverage data and technology for better decision-making.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in logistics or supply chain finance within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc.).
  • Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder management skills.
