Who we are:The Infrastructure Planning Partnerships & Compliance team at the Region of Peel focuses on strategically planning and managing the Regions infrastructure to support sustainable growth and development. We collaborate with various stakeholders and rights-holdersto ensure that infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with regulations standards and the Provinces delegated duty to consult with Indigenous Communities. Our team plays a vital role in shaping the Regions infrastructure landscape to meet the needs of its residents and businesses while promoting environmental sustainability and resilience.
Reports to: Program Manager Infrastructure Planning & Studies Growth & Ground Water Programs
What you will do in this role:
Leverage your interest and expertise in engaging with Indigenous Communities for municipal water and wastewater projects to develop participatory agreements and support staff in implementing project engagement plans.
You will play a crucial role in the development of the Regional Water and Wastewater Program Master Plan communicate technical and regulatory information provide key business processes to support infrastructure planning administer assimilation and evaluation of engagement data for new infrastructure and long-term strategic infrastructure planning; and support Project Managers in environmental assessments designs and unique studies carried out by the water and wastewater program planning group.
What the role requires:
A satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station (third-party background checks will not be accepted).
Skills/Abilities:
Advanced written and verbal communication skills to prepare a wide range of reports and materials and to effectively engage staff management Council external partners and the public.
Strong presentation facilitation and negotiation abilities to convey complex information to technical and nontechnical audiences and lead discussions that influence decisions and program direction.
Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities (preferred).
Proven project and program management skills including strategic planning financial management and oversight of multiple complex initiatives.
Ability to lead highimpact initiatives and manage organizational change.
Advanced systems thinking and problemsolving skills to assess risks develop solutions and build commitment to new approaches.
Strong analytical skills for trend analysis issue identification and synthesizing complex information into clear plainlanguage outputs.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities to work effectively under shifting priorities tight timelines and limited resources.

This means youll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive Brampton worksite.
