How youll contribute
ACath Lab Technologistwho excels in this role by being responsible for providing quality care in a mobile or fixed cardiac cath lab and a positive interpersonal experience for the patient. Additionally the Cardiovascular Technologist will assist the cardiologists in all aspects of invasive cardiology including scrubbing circulating monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. Employee shall also be responsible for the operation and reporting of results using blood glucose and oxygen saturation devices in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Assist cardiologists in diagnostic & interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Work with adult patients in a high-quality patient-centered care environment.
- Functions include:
- Circulating monitoring and/or scrubbing during procedures.
- Pre- and post-procedure patient care and assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Records circulates or scrubs during procedures.
- Monitors patient EKG as well as vascular and intracardiac pressures.
- Assists in any resuscitative efforts or life threatening situations.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- State ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Cath lab experience cardiac nursing special procedures or respiratory therapy with cardiac/intensive care patients.
