DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army Navy and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated affordable and high-quality health services the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior System Integrator to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in the integration of enterprise health IT systems and applications. This individual will be responsible for the seamless onboarding configuration and integration of diverse software and hardware assets within DHAs health IT ecosystem. The role includes installation configuration testing troubleshooting and ongoing sustainment to ensure the operational readiness and effectiveness of mission-critical systems supporting the Military Health System (MHS).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret DHA technical specifications functional requirements and system documentation to inform integration activities.
• Integrate diverse hardware and software components from multiple vendors into DHAs enterprise architecture.
• Configure and adapt systems to align with DHA operational and clinical requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive testing validation and quality assurance procedures to ensure integrated systems function as intended.
• Develop detailed system integration guides runbooks and maintenance documentation for future sustainment.
• Monitor system performance proactively identify issues and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance software patching and firmware upgrades to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams cybersecurity staff and stakeholders to resolve complex integration challenges.
• Support project planning providing technical expertise during design reviews and decision-making processes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to DHA personnel on integrated systems and tools.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineeringcomputer scienceor a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in system integrationpreferably in a military or defense environment.
• Strong understanding of communication protocols:TCP/IPEthernetWiFietc.
• Expertise in networking concepts:IP addressingsubnettingroutingVPNsfirewalls.
• Proficiency in scripting languages:PythonBashPowerShellfor automation and customization.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms:AWSAzureGCPfor cloud-based integrations.
• Experience with integration tools:ESBsAPIsmiddlewarefor interconnecting systems.
• Understanding of various operating systems:WindowsLinuxmacOSdepending on project needs.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies:VMwareHyper-VDockerfor efficient resource utilization.
• Strong understanding of computer hardwaresoftwareand networking principles.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook Word Excel SharePoint and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Remote - Falls Church VA

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110000 - $130000. This is not however a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather salary will be set based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
