Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer Azure Data Platform Power BI & PySpark Remote in Mexico
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a remote long-term engagement. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced data-driven environment and can translate business requirements into robust analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on the Azure platform using Azure Data Factory Synapse Analytics and PySpark.
- Develop optimize and manage Power BI dashboards to support enterprise reporting and data visualization needs.
- Enhance Cosmos processing performance by writing and optimizing Scope Scripts for large-scale data jobs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data pipelines and ensure seamless delivery of analytics and reporting solutions.
- Maintain strong data governance ensuring data quality security and compliance across all systems and processes.
- Translate business requirements into efficient data models leveraging DAX dimensional modeling and Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
Technical Skills Required:
With over 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert Application Developer you must be proficient in the following technical skills:
- Must have: Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage SQL Power BI Advanced English DAX
- Nice to have: Cosmos Scope Scripting PySpark
- Optional: Kusto Query Language (KQL)
- Core domains: Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage Cosmos Scope Scripting Power BI DAX KQL SQL PySpark

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Fluent in English (Advanced) C1 - C2

Location & Schedule:
- Remote work from Mexico City
- Work hours Monday to Friday 09:00 18:00
- Advanced English skills are mandatory and only residents of Mexico
