You are a full time student looking for a working student position and you would like to support the solar array engineering team Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week!

Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education and who are employed in a reasonably long fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the companys premises. A working students main focus remains on their studies which is why during term-time working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Implemtation of solar cell / diode models into database
Harmonize the powerPy tool
check on consistency of the class definitions
align the methods
add detailed docstrings
Establish a online help and / or documentation
Add features / extensions to electrical simulation software
LEO capabilities (coupled thermal solver)
implement astrodynamic features (eclipse orbit properties)
Establish user templates for simulating PVAs in project context.
Usage of parallelisation options (wing simulation) MPI / CUDA
Porting the software to Linux ETX cluster or aircloud HPC
Coupling of Powertool with Systema/Thermal
Desired skills and qualifications
Basic knowledge of analog circuit technology
Basic heat transfer knowledge
Knowledge of SPICE simulation S/W (nice to have)
python coding; Fortran knowledge
Object oriented programming
