About the Customer Account Executive position
We are seeking a driven and collaborative Customer Account Executive to focus on expanding and upselling existing customer accounts in strong partnership with our Customer Success Managers. This role lives within our customer success organization and owns growth expansion and upselling within an assigned book of business and works closely with CSMs to align value delivery with revenue expansion.
This position is part sales part account strategy and part customer partnership with a hint of customer marketingideal for someone who thrives in consultative selling and long-term customer relationships.
Customer Account Executive responsibilities include:
- Own expansion and upsell strategy for a large portfolio of existing Commercial and Mid-Market customer accounts
- Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to identify growth opportunities based on customer goals usage and outcomes
- Drive discovery conversations to understand customer needs and recommend additional products features or services
- Build and maintain strong executive and stakeholder relationships within customer organizations
- Develop and manage account expansion forecasts and pipeline within the CRM
- Lead pricing packaging and contract expansion conversations through close
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Create and nurture customer champions who advocate for broader adoption of Motivosity solutions
Customer Account Executive qualifications include:
- 3 years of experience as an Account Executive B2B Account Manager or Customer Success Manager
- Proven success driving upsell and expansion revenue within existing customer accounts
- Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
- Proficiency with CRM software account management systems and pipeline management
- Great organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple account and priorities
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Upbeat positive and friendly personality that energizes those around you
- BS/BA in Business Marketing Finance Communications Economics or related field preferred
- Strong priority will be given to internal applicants
