The Americas Distribution team is expanding and seeking an Associate based in Sao Paulo. This individual will be part of a small team serving as the primary point of contact between J.P. Morgan and banks brokers insurers multilateral development banks and other institutions involved in buying and selling Trade Finance transactions. The role also serves as a key reference for Trade Sales and other internal stakeholders regarding pricing and deal structuring.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day distribution of the Americas Corporate and FI Trade portfolio
- Maintain and develop relationships with secondary market Trade investors across the Americas with a focus on supporting CIB clients deals
- Provide feedback on distribution capacity to Trade Sales and other Trade team members
- Collaborate with Trade Sales team members to structure transactions that align with the local market environment
- Oversee Trade Distribution standard documentation and other trade-related documents including assignment agreements participation agreements broker agreements and insurance policies
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of professional experience in a Financial Institution with focus on Trade Finance and/or Corporate risk related transactions
- Demonstrated knowledge about Trade Finance products such as Supply Chain Finance Receivables Finance and Core Trade products
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communications skills
- Detail-oriented self-motivated and able to research analyze organize and prioritize work with guidance
- Strong desire and aptitude to learn and improve current processes
- Effective time management organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel and Word) and strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Fluent in English
- Intermediate level in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Client-facing experience
- Knowledge or background in credit risk
- Strong aptitude for presenting
- Fluent Spanish is considered a plus
