Job Summary
General Description
- The primary function of the Supplier Development & Supplier Quality (SD&SQ) Supervisor is to lead SDE & SQE team on all supplier related initiatives including new supplier development and launch supplier management.
- Responsible for supplier performance. Proactively manage supplier performance including regular monitoring supplier process stability check the compliance with BW requirements collect quality data and guide supplier improvement response for supplier quality problem solving new supplier quality assessment and push supplier continuous improvement.
- According to global requirements this team also needs to develop and manage suppliers based on China but just supply for other plant in BU.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead team to work with Purchasing Engineering and Quality evaluate and qualify potential suppliers.
- Define a corrective action plan tracking list to develop suppliers to meet BW requirements.
- Lead team to do potential supplier audit per IATF 16949/VDA; Monitor supplier quality performance; Implement annual audit plan for suppliers
- Develop and push suppliers for continuous improvement
- Verify supplier corrective action effectiveness
- Maintain supplier Quality Agreement signing & update in order to ensure suppliers quality control system meet companys quality requirement
- Make the EPC (early production containment) plan to ensure safe launch when ramp-up
- Review and approve PPAP
- Submit monthly quality report for responsible materials & suppliers in order to reflect suppliers quality performance
- Coordinate incoming nonconformance material RMA(returned material authorization)
- Support QE to handle customer complaint related to supplier in order to ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action process
- Team capability development and skill improvement to meet BWs requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Manufacturing is required .
- 10 years work experience in manufacturing/quality (Preferred on Casting Machining Powder Metal Stamping Forging Rub & Plastics)
- 3-5 years of Supplier Development & Quality Engineering experience in the automotive industry;
- At least 2 years SDE/SQE team leader/supervisor experience Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and manufacturing processes required;
- Knowledge of IATF16949 requirements including AIAG APQP PFMEA MSA SPC and PPAP required;
- Proven leadership abilities;
- Effective at defining problems collecting data establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/or concrete variables.
- Proficient in general business correspondence to external suppliers.
- Effective communication skills to clearly articulate supplier defect issues and to respond to questions regarding these issues;
- Good English in writing and speak;
