TITLE: Transportation Aide
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required or equivalent life experience required.
- Ability to lift average weights bend stoop reach pull and climb.
- Specialized skills in first aid and CPR preferred.
- Ability to obtain appropriate licensing to operate a vehicle in Arizona.
- Ability to work harmoniously with staff students and community members.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Transportation
JOB GOAL:
To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the districts curriculum and extracurricular program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.
- Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.
- Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion.
- Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Director of Transportation.
- Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on bus by students.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work year salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Director of Transportation in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
