The Outsourcing Delivery team within Tax Solutions Managed Services provides support to major financial institutions and multi-national corporations around the world as those services relate to the review and validation of international tax documentation (e.g. Forms W-8 WS etc.). Drawing on extensive operational and tax technical expertise CTI Tax Solutions outsourcing offerings cover end-to-end services meeting domestic non-resident FATCA tax withholding and information return reporting needs as well as the Common Reporting Standard due diligence and reporting requirements. The Outsourcing Delivery team is seeking a high energy detail driven and personable Tax Reporting Analyst to lead our clients to the finish line.

Duties & accountabilities

• Coordinate and conduct tax document return and transmittal examination (IRS Formsas well as CRS jurisdictional XMLs) checking for completeness and accuracy based on operational standards and regulatory/jurisdictional requirements.

• Act as client relationship lead for tax reporting processes as they relate to data collection return generation client review and timely preparation/submission of applicable returns.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and handle both day-to-day account review processes and urgent escalations in a professional and timely manner.

• Provide subject matter expertise where required on client & team inquiries regarding applicable statutes tax authority guidance and general industry approaches & best practices.

• Address tax compliance and remediation requests with clients and/or their account holders in accordance with IRS regulations and Outsourcing protocol as part of audit exposure elimination efforts.

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting withholding and reporting requirements.

• Address client queries on CTI developed software and tax return validation logic.

• Participate in client status conferences to discuss generation progress and process questions.

• Understand and exhibit a strong emphasis on the ability to work quickly efficiently and accurately.

• Must conform to all company policies including data protection and confidentiality requirements.
• Manage multiple implementations while maintaining on-time deliverables.
• Evaluate scope of work/project plans and make recommendations for improved process plans.
• Manage relationships with clients internal teams and all stakeholders.
• Prepare project progress and status reports for leadership team and clients.
• Identify and work to resolve gaps in process or project execution.
• Develop long-term relationships with existing clients connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
• Work through new requirement discussions with the client and identify short-term workarounds.

Business competencies

Education and experience

• Bachelors Degree or higher
• Tax internships or tax experience a big plus
• Experience in customer service and financial data operations

Commercial awareness

• Have an excellent client service ethos and be able to communicate effectively with priority clients and sales prospects
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with bank compliance and risk management a plus
