Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home education and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.
Summary:
The Transporter is primarily responsible for providing transportation to residents of the Seton Home Casa De Milagros Program. Provide transportation to and from appointments airport and be available as flight escort when needed. Pick-up shelter needs such as groceries medical appointments clothing and other supplies as needed. Be available to go into ratio and provide supervision as needed. Copy file and complete other minor administrative support tasks as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- *Transport residents to and from airport and serve as flight escort as needed.
- *Transport residents to and from appointments.
- *Assist with ratio when not assigned to transport residents.
- *Supervise residents and their children to ensure appropriate interactions
- *Computer related tasks: Document daily logs and incident reports using the internal database ensure important information is included.
- *Maintain van inventory and review maintenance records of all equipment schedule maintenance as needed;
- Oversee and ensure that all vehicle registration and insurance documentation is current in vehicle;
- Oversee and ensure that all documentation for transportation is maintained by all staff;
- Complete all documentation in compliance with Seton Home policies and procedures;
- Completing monthly expense reports to include all purchases.
- Document and report to supervisor all serious incidents completely accurately and in a timely manner to include vehicle accident reports.
- Cook and serve lunch to residents and their children during weekends holidays and as needed.
- Assisting with the Point of Contact role as needed.
- Completing shelter intake process with new arrivals as needed.
- Completing shelter discharge process with residents as needed.
- Process medications from pharmacy using the internal database.
- Dispense medications on weekends holidays and as needed.
- Transporter will perform other duties as directed;
- End of shift duties: Clean staff restroom take out all trash and do last walk through of cottage to ensure cleanliness

- Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner
- Must be sensitive to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
- Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
- As a Seton Home employee attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.

At Seton Homes sole discretion and with or without notice Seton Home may require employees to alter their work schedules to fulfill job responsibilities or handle work situations of an emergency nature. Likewise at Seton Homes sole discretion and with written approval of the Department Head of Human Resources and Executive Director employees may arrange an alternate or flexible work schedule provided Seton Home needs can be fully met under such an arrangement.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent;
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred;
- Experience
- Minimum of 1-year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting;
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation;
- Valid driver license;
- Valid vehicle insurance;
- Must provide immunization/shot records;
- Submit to a state and federal background check Child abuse and neglect registry check and Tuberculosis screening;
- Be physically mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities
Able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route if working directly with unaccompanied children;
- Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
- MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases
- DTaP or TDap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed in childhood one TDaP dose in adulthood.
- Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 1-year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting;
- Some knowledge of computer software familiarity with or ability to utilize KaleidaCare and MS Office (i.e. MS Word Excel Outlook and OneDrive);
- Ability to set and teach trauma informed care practices;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Knowledge of human behavior and development preferred;
- Successful completion and implementation of SAMA;
- Possess sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socio-economic characteristics;
- Ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served in order to help them gain skills and confidence;
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members service providers and professionals;
- Capacity to maintain a helping role and to intervene appropriately in order to meet service goals;
- Ability to function independently and in a team setting;
- *Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish with regards to reading writing speaking and comprehension of the spoken language
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes 10% local and 10% overnight.
