Position summary
GlobalConnect is looking for a proactive Account Manager to drive sales and build relationships with small and medium-sized housing associations and smaller public housing companies. This is a field-facing sales role focused on winning new customers and supporting the delivery of fiber connectivity solutions across smaller housing portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- New business & sales execution
- Proactively identify and qualify sales opportunities within small and medium housing associations.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and needs assessment through proposal negotiation and close.
- Present GlobalConnect solutions (fiber-to-the-home connectivity packages add-on services) and tailor commercial offers to smaller portfolios.
- Account management & customer success
- Maintain and grow relationships with assigned accounts to maximise adoption and renewals.
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients ensuring high service levels and smoothing the handover to delivery teams.
- Support upsell efforts to expand services within existing customers.
- Collaboration & internal coordination
- Work closely with Partners project managers and technical teams to ensure accurate scoping pricing and timely delivery.
- Provide clear handoffs and follow up to ensure installations and activations meet client expectations.
- Market knowledge & reporting
- Stay informed on housing association decision cycles funding mechanisms and local market dynamics affecting smaller housing associations.
- Keep CRM updated with pipeline forecast and customer activity. Report sales progress to the Sales Director.
Required experience & qualifications
- 14 years experience in B2B sales or account management; experience with housing associations public-sector customers or property owners is a strong plus.
- Some familiarity with telecom broadband connectivity or infrastructure sales preferred but not mandatory.
- Good commercial sense and experience preparing proposals and negotiating contracts for SMEs.
- Educated to bachelors level or equivalent work experience.
Core skills & competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with a range of stakeholders.
- Results-driven organised and comfortable working independently.
- Basic technical understanding of connectivity services and the ability to explain benefits to non-technical customers.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office.
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken).
Success metrics / KPIs
- Number of new accounts acquired and revenue from Small/Medium housing associations.
- Conversion rate from qualified lead to signed contract.
- Retention and upsell rates within managed accounts.
- Pipeline coverage relative to targets and forecast accuracy.
- Customer satisfaction and timely delivery handovers.
