DescriptionReporting to the Food Store Manager responsibilities for this position include the following:
To manage the bakery production department.
To supervise all team members in department.
To organize direct and co-ordinate the operation of the Deli to achieve budgeted goals.
To plan and schedule Deli Department according to needs for adequate sales using proper storage methods for products made in advance and in anticipation of needs for sales.
To schedule team members according to production needs.
To maintain product quality standards. Introduce new items to enhance product selection.
To order all ingredients and supplies according to production requirements.
To be responsible for merchandising budgeting inventories human resources and customer relations.
To ensure that all inventories of ingredients and supplies are kept under proper storage conditions. To be responsible for the maintenance of the Co-operatives equipment and premises.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years in a high-volume Deli Department and related experience with Deli product lines in order to effectively operate in all areas of the department.
Must have capability to operate the required equipment for the preparation merchandising and sale of Deli products.
Preference would be given to candidates who have proven experience as a team leader supervisor or mentor and also have experience working within a complex high volume retail setting.
Experience within the Co-op retail system would be considered an asset in addition to CRS Candidates who have completed or are completing Advance Training.
*a combination of relevant education and experiencemaybe considered.
