Senior BIM Designer MEP, Data Center Engineering

Position Overview:
The SeniorBIM Designer MEPEngineer willbe responsible forreviewing project Revit and Navisworks models assessing model development modeling standards and practices and adherence to the BIM standards and compile your comments onthe same.They willbe responsible forsupportingpartnerteams such asdesignconstructionand operations.

The BIM Designer MEPwillbe responsible forestablishingand maintaining BIM standardsprocessesand workflows. The candidate shall alsobe responsible forthe BIM lifecycle of multiple design projects across the globe.

The candidate shall alsobe responsible fordeveloping pipinginstrumentationand electricalplantroom layouts along with single line diagrams and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

• BIM Implementation Strategyestablishingand maintaining BIM standards processes and workflows as well aseducating and training internal teams in BIM software and procedures.
• BIMoversight of all aspects of thedatacenter life cycle starting with design construction and maintenance ofdatacenter BIM models.
• Lead discussions in engineering/ construction best practicessupporting the wider team by sharing knowledge with a view toestablishingnew standards.
• Develop BIM Implementation strategy & deliver complex international projects.
• Establish and ensure BIM filesmeet FleetData Centerstandards and arealways following the BIM Guidelinesduring the project by reviewing consultant BIM documentation BIM files coordinate output formats andvalidatedata quality collect design documents and files for projects.
• CDE Managementestablish& administer the CDE & support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects.
• Project ManagementCoordinatingBIM execution & project delivery with project leadership.
• BIM Execution create &maintainthe projects industry framework docs: BEP MIDP MPDT appendices etc.
• Technicalsupportestablishdata-integrated workflows forbuildingsprojects & provide support guidance & training to project teams.
• Digitaltechnology &contentmanagement oversee the production of smart object content templates & libraries in the context of the project deploy the use ofFleet Data Centerscontent management system (Autodesk Content Catalogor other) onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration coordination & delivery.
• Qualityestablish& administer the digital quality assurance control procedures.
• Working withmultipledesign and engineering professionals on concepts and build projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in managing MEP delivery across multiple projects or business units
• 5 years of design/construction experience.
• 5 yearsworking with Revit.
• 5 years working with Navisworks.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanicalelectricaland plumbing systems
• Strong problem-solvinganalyticaland strategic planning skills.
• Excellentorganizationskills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractor projects or complex multi-disciplinaryprograms
• Familiarity with digital construction toolsBIMand lean methodologies
• Extensive knowledge of software packages such as ACC and Procore.
• Experience in the establishment and management of BIM & VDC models including orientation geo-positioning co-ordinationand the set-up of model reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent in mechanical electrical building services or related discipline.

• Experience in mission critical design.

• Experience in piping design and chilled water piping and instrumentation layout plantroom layoutdesignand electrical architecture.

• Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant body (e.g. CIBSE IET Engineers Ireland)

• Postgraduate qualification in building services projectmanagementor sustainability

• Training in digital design BIMmanagementor innovative MEP technologies

Working Conditions:

• This role requires occasional travel to data center sites across multiple regions (up to 25% travel).
• Ability to work in both office environments and active construction sites adhering to all safety protocols.

Expected Salary Range: $125000 $165000 plus bonus.

Location: Seattle WA (Mercer Island) but will also consider candidates from Denver CO and Alexandria VA.
