Job Title: Payroll Service Manager
Location: Kingston Jamaica
Role Type: In office
Core Functions:
Manage and ensure the smooth functioning of the Payroll services and Insurance Accounts department. Manage the cashiering services functions.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Management Studies Accounting or related discipline from a
- recognized tertiary institution
- FLMI designation
- At least five (5) years working experience at a managerial level
Specialized Skills Techniques/Learned Disciplines:
- Knowledge of computer based application systems supporting the individual Line business functions
- In depth knowledge of Life Insurance accounting and financial reporting requirements
- Thorough knowledge of Life Insurance Accounting
- Strong knowledge in the use of PC productivity applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to effectively manage people and performance
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Working knowledge of reporting/query tools
Special Conditions Associated With the Job:
- Normal office environment
- Numerous critical deadlines
- Frequent long hours outside of normal business hours
