Reporting to the Sr. Director of Stores the Temporary Director of Brick Mattress Stores (12-18 month temporary contract) is the business leader for the Brick Mattress Store division. This position has total accountability for the financial results leadership and development of team members in the division.
As Temporary Director of BMS you will drive the execution consistency and performance of sales operations and merchandising programs and initiatives within your division to ensure the companys annual business plan for sales margin cost control customer service and health and safety are achieved.
Location & Commitments
The Temporary Director of BMS is the leader and liaison between Corporate Office and BMS retail locations located in Alberta and Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and profitability across the division.
- Achieve all sales margin and cost control targets as per budget so that maximum profit for each store is realized.
- Review and analyze sales statistics by market to determine customer needs. Identify opportunities to achieve maximum market share and sales growth.
- Analyze KPIs operating reports exception reporting and peer reporting to maximize opportunities for improvement in each market.
- Provide sales operations and merchandising training to all team members in the division.
- Oversee the merchandise presentation cleanliness operational compliance within each location within the division.
- Visiting stores regularly and ensure completion of all required store checklists within the specified time frame.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years leadership/management experience in a retail environment
- Proven track record in sales operations and merchandising
- Understanding of P&L management
- High degree of sales accountability and desire to grow The Bricks market share
- Proven ability to motivate and lead sales teams and to develop staff through coaching mentoring and training
- Capability to communicate clearly The Bricks policies direction and expectations
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a wide variety of assignments at once and manage competing deadlines
- Willingness to travel
