The Travel and Conference Specialist at the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is responsible for reviewing maintaining and overseeing all conference requests from OVW grantees. This position reports directly to the Grants Development and Management Division (GDMD) Government Task Lead and provides reports on Department of Justice (DOJ)-sponsored OVW events. Below is a high-level summary of duties performed by this position and the necessary qualifications.
This position is located in Washington DC.
OVW Conference Administrator
oAnalyze conference requests for completeness and ensure that the request meet the Department of Justice thresholds;
oReview and analyze quarterly conference reports;
oCommunicate with the OVW Program (POC) unresolved conference request issues;
oCommunicate with the IT solutions team program specific updates related to the Conference Tracker;
oServe as the liaison between OVW staff and OVW management to communicate conference request procedure updates.
oMonitor the OVW Conference Request Form Inbox and respond to e-mails accordingly.
oReview Conference Request Forms (CRF) from Technical Assistant (TA) Providers Cooperative Agreement Recipients Contractors and other Grantees.
oReview event agendas and ensure that the required information is listed and validated against the CRF.
oValidate CRFs for missing/incorrect information cost calculations thresholds transgression taxes and fees attrition rates location etc.
oCalculate travel expenses for all federal staff and include calculations on CRFs.
oMaintain and update a CRF Tracker to record dates of request calculate timelines for review and monitor the overall lifecycle of the request.
oUpload CRFs to the appropriate monitoring database and assign workflow routing depending on the program unit state of the event and review timeline.
oEnsure that all DOJ Conference/Event Policies are adhered to.
oLiaison between the Grant Program Specialist and Grantee to retrieve information that is missing and communicate all steps in the request lifecycle.
oLiaison between the OVW Director and Grant Program Specialists to ensure that all questions/concerns are answered in a timely manner and timelines for review are adhered to.
oLiaison between the Justice Management Division (JMD) and OVW for requests that require approval from the Office of the Assistant Attorney General (AAG). Provide all requested documentation to JMD in a timeline manner.
This individual shall have at least 4 years experience successfully participating in completion of similar projects. Strong analytical and written skills are required and advanced MS 365 experience. A bachelors degree in business or finance lieu of a bachelors degree five (5) years experience performing similar work.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
.At least three years three years of experience in the Federal Government grants financial management budget or human capital arena;
.Familiarity or knowledge of UFMS JustGrants or similar type systems and how to extract and use the data contained within these systems;
.Demonstrated experience working with Human Capital/Workflow Planning Strategies;
.All proposed personnel shall have the ability to obtain a background investigation required to perform the work

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $42600.00 - $93600.00.
