As Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) youll serve as a trusted scientific partner shaping strategies that connect cutting-edge therapies with the medical this role you will lead medical engagement drive evidence-based initiatives and ensure accurate compliant communication that empowers healthcare professionals and improves patient outcomes.
You will develop and execute medical strategies aligned with brand objectives engage with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to foster collaboration support real-world evidence initiatives and provide scientific education to internal teams. Working closely with colleagues across departments youll also educate the local sales and marketing team as needed. As an expert in your therapeutic areas youll ensure your knowledge remains current and thorough.
Reporting to the Medical Lead you will help create the Medical Customer Engagement Strategy and the Medical Affairs activity plan to achieve Medical Launch Excellence and successful Life Cycle Management in line with brand strategies and company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Medical Lead to establish an integrated Medical Strategy.
- Communicate effectively with internal functions including Commercial Market Access Regulatory and Finance.
- Build and manage collaborative relationships with key external medical experts and opinion leaders across current and future disease areas developing a deep understanding of their needs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external business stakeholders.
- Engage with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) and support relevant initiatives while upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring full compliance with internal SOPs and applicable laws.
- Generate and communicate complex scientific information ensuring accurate dissemination of data related to current and future products.
- Review and approve promotional and educational materials in coordination with Medical Affairs representatives and in accordance with Medison SOPs.
- Drive disease awareness by providing external medical education and organizing local scientific programs such as symposia advisory boards and scientific meetings in line with compliance guidelines.
- Coordinate and contribute to pre-launch and life cycle activities for current products and pipeline assets.
- Respond to healthcare professional (HCP) requests for medical information in compliance with relevant processes and local regulations.
- Participate in scientific and educational interactions with therapeutic specialists on diagnostic and clinically relevant aspects of therapeutic areas.
- Facilitate local patient access programs (EAP) to address high unmet medical needs.
- Collect competitive intelligence and market insights on diagnostic methods and treatment paradigms within the region.
- Communicate key opinion leader (KOL) insights to inform brand plans and strategies.
- Support internal medical knowledge development and deliver training for MSLs sales teams and other functions on disease and product-related topics.
- Manage or support local aspects of investigator-initiated trials and other research projects in compliance with local laws and Medison SOPs.
- Conduct periodic reviews of relevant medical and scientific literature.
- Ensure all pharmacovigilance and risk management activities are planned and executed in accordance with local regulations.
- Maintain legal and compliance excellence in all medical activities as per company SOPs and local requirements.

Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
- Strong scientific background ideally holding a medical doctor or pharmacist degree or an advanced qualification in a life science such as Veterinary Medicine Biology Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with at least 2 years in Medical Affairs.
- Previous experience in rare diseases is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage medical-scientific projects end-to-end.
- Experience with biostatistics and leveraging data insights to enhance customer experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse healthcare stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of the local healthcare environment.
- Prior experience with product launches is an advantage.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills to build professional trusting relationships.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
