Job Overview/Summary:
The Therapist III is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral health services to diverse patient populations. This role requires advanced clinical expertise independent judgment and adherence to state and professional licensing standards to support patient well-being and treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic services to behavioral health patients across age-specific populations
Apply evidence-based clinical practices in treatment planning and intervention
Maintain compliance with licensing regulatory and organizational standards
Utilize de-escalation techniques and effective communication strategies as required
Document clinical services accurately and timely
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Primary Skills:
Clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention
Behavioral health treatment planning
Knowledge of age-specific behavioral health needs
De-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with substance use disorder treatment
Familiarity with state-approved restrictive intervention curricula
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications:
Graduate degree required
Masters Degree in Psychology Social Work Counseling or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience required
Active licensure required one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician (LCMHC)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFT)
Clinical PhD/PsyD level Psychologist
For Substance Use Therapist roles:
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) or
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A) with one of the above licenses
NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire (as applicable)
Good working knowledge of computers required
