Work Schedule
- Pre-Turnaround: 50 hrs/week (6:00 AM 4:30 PM)
- Turnaround Execution: 12-hour shifts 6 7 days/week
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to support a major refinery turnaround in Rodeo CA. This role is responsible for developing integrating and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure turnaround scope is delivered safely efficiently and on time.
You will work closely with project leadership engineering procurement construction and contractors to manage schedule logic critical paths milestones and earned value reporting across both pre-execution and execution phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using CPM methodology
- Integrate owner and contractor schedules into a single executable plan
- Define critical paths milestones and schedule constraints
- Perform schedule risk analysis and support mitigation and recovery planning
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and analyze variances
- Review contractor productivity and verify earned value
- Prepare schedule updates forecasts and management reports
- Participate in weekly schedule reviews and coordination meetings
- Interface with contractor planning teams to ensure schedule alignment and data accuracy
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of scheduling experience on downstream/refining projects
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 (MS Project a plus)
- Solid knowledge of:
- Project Controls
- Planning & Scheduling
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Familiarity with refinery operations and equipment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced turnaround environment
- Willingness to work extended hours during turnaround execution
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or equivalent experience
This is a hands-on execution-focused role best suited for schedulers with real turnaround experience-not just planners on paper.
