Corporate Associate M&A and General Transactional
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate practice group in Charlotte. This role is ideal for an early-career attorney looking to build a strong foundation in corporate and transactional law while working on sophisticated matters for both publicly traded and privately held companies.
The associate will be actively involved in mergers and acquisitions commercial contracting and corporate governance matters gaining hands-on experience across all stages of transactions. This position offers meaningful client exposure close collaboration with senior attorneys and the opportunity to develop practical business judgment in a supportive team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support mergers and acquisitions transactions including due diligence review and management of disclosure schedules
- Prepare transaction documents and assist with M&A closings
- Review draft and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements related to supply purchase service and other commercial transactions
- Assist with corporate governance and general corporate matters
- Provide pragmatic business-focused legal counsel to clients
- Work closely with partners and senior associates on a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects
What Were Looking For:
- 1 to 3 years of corporate transactional experience including meaningful M&A exposure
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand complex business concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to ask questions learn and take initiative
- Desire to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
- Regular in-office attendance required
- Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission preferred
