We are seeking a Corporate Associate or Counsel to join a dynamic and collaborative Corporate practice based in Charlotte. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys while advising both public and privately held companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. The position is well-suited for a transactional lawyer who enjoys hands-on client interaction variety in work and providing practical business-focused legal advice.
You will be actively involved in structuring drafting reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements across multiple industries with the opportunity to take ownership of matters and build long-term client relationships. While mergers and acquisitions exposure is welcome this role is not limited to M&A and offers broad-based corporate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft review and negotiate principal and ancillary commercial agreements including supply purchase service transportation and other operational contracts
- Advise clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters with a pragmatic business-oriented approach
- Support corporate governance matters and transactional projects as needed
- Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across practice areas
- Engage directly with clients developing trusted advisor relationships
- Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality work product
What Were Looking For:
- More than three years of corporate transactional experience
- Experience with commercial contracts is essential; M&A experience is a plus but not required
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand client operations and commercial objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to ask questions learn and grow
- Team-oriented collaborative and client-focused
