Job Summary

The Marketing Manager (Retail Channel) is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue through retail partnerships. You will lead sell-in efforts (pitching products to retail buyers) and sell-through initiatives (ensuring consumers purchase the product once it is on the shelf). This role requires a blend of data-driven strategy creative campaign management and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Retailer Strategy & GTM Planning: Develop comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) plans for new and existing product lines specifically tailored to the unique needs of retail partners.
  • Sales Enablement & Pitch Support: Partner with the sales team to create high-impact sell-in presentations pitch decks and collateral for major retail buyers.
  • In-Store & Trade Marketing: Manage the design and implementation of point-of-purchase (POP) displays in-store promotions and Gift with Purchase programs.
  • Data-Driven Market Analysis: Utilize 2025 AI-powered analytics to track consumer behavior monitor competitor activity and identify whitespace opportunities for new product categories.
  • Omnichannel Coordination: Ensure brand consistency across retail displays digital ads and social media to create a seamless customer journey.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Allocate and manage marketing budgets ensuring high return on marketing investment (ROMI) for specific retail accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the liaison between Product Development Manufacturing and Sales to ensure product features meet market demands.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strategic & Analytical: Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau GA4) and AI-driven marketing automation (e.g. HubSpot Salesforce Einstein).
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle and retail distribution channels.
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and negotiation skills to influence both internal stakeholders and external retail buyers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of 2025 digital marketing competencies including SEO for product visibility and mobile-first content strategy.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred) and 5 years of experience in manufacturing or B2B2C marketing.
