Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are now seeking ANP Acute Orthopaedics for our hospital located in Dublin Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Practise in line with the six domains of competence outlined in the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (2019) Advanced Practice (Nursing) Standards and Requirements.

  • Demonstrate professional values and conduct advanced clinical decision-making expert knowledge effective communication team management leadership and professional scholarship.

  • Provide pre- and post-operative clinical oversight for orthopaedic patients in collaboration with Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons.

  • Undertake advanced assessment of orthopaedic patients including selected presentations to the Emergency Department as agreed with the Director of Orthopaedics.

  • Initiate timely evidence-based interventions for acute orthopaedic conditions.

  • Coordinate care between orthopaedic consultants primary care providers and the multidisciplinary team.

  • Support safe and effective transitions across inpatient outpatient and community care settings.

  • Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and their families.

  • Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery following elective orthopaedic procedures.

  • Deliver evidence-based education to patients and healthcare professionals.

  • Provide training to staff to enhance skills in the management of acute orthopaedic patients.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators using the Orthopaedic Dashboard.

  • Develop implement and evaluate pathways and protocols for common orthopaedic procedures and emergencies.

  • Review and challenge length of stay in line with best practice.

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards.

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency.



  • Requirements

  • Registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register or willing to achieve registration within two years.

  • Registered in the Nurse Prescribers division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register.

  • Hold a Master of Science degree (NFQ Level 9 or equivalent) relevant to the clinical specialty at CNS grade.

  • Demonstrate the required knowledge competence and professional clinical and administrative capability to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

  • Possess extensive post-registration experience with a minimum of seven years clinical practice.

  • Have at least five years experience within the relevant specialist area.

  • Demonstrate the ability to practise safely autonomously and effectively within the defined scope of practice.

  • Provide evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Required Skills:
