An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Mine Planning & Scheduling section for a Medium Term Mine Planner.
As Medium Term Mine Planner you will be working in a team together with our long term planner and short term scheduler.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
In line with applicable procedures conduct all duties in a way that promotes Bolidens values and best practice relating to environmental health safety and quality performance.
Role model Bolidens core values at all times and can demonstrate use of core values to drive continuous improvement.
Scheduling and optimisation (including financial) of all mining activities for the rolling 3 months mining plan
Conduct monthly planning- and follow up meetings
Assist with Mineral Resource and Reserve calculations and reporting
Data management and validation
Data analysis for productivity analysis and optimisation
Support and coach other team members
Experience and Qualifications:
A Technical College or University Degree in Mine Engineering or equivalent geoscience with 6 years of underground hard rock mining experience.
A minimum of 3 years experience in underground mine planning/scheduling
Extensive underground experience/knowledge of development longhole mining methods ventilation and backfilling
Excellent knowledge of mine planning software with working knowledge of Deswik (CAD SO and IS) being an asset
Skills and Capabilities:
Education knowledge and skills required for this position
Knowledge of the mining cycle
A high level of attention to detail is required
Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written in English
Exhibit leadership capabilities able to work both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams
Strong interpersonal skills an ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Demonstrates a willingness to drive new opportunities and continuous improvements
Computer literacy
Role model in EHS (Environment Health and Safety)
Additional Info:
This role will be normal office hours Monday to Friday on a 37.5-hour workweek.
There will be a degree of flexibility required as part of this role in line with operational requirements so work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time.
Clean drivers licence.
