Kitchen Steward (Part-Time)

POSITION SUMMARY

Position Summary:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen food preparation and receiving dock areas
• Wash sanitise and store all cutlery crockery glassware silverware and kitchen equipment
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment to ensure efficiency and safety
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment including pots pans ovens grills fryers and preparation areas
• Ensure food storage areas walk-in fridges freezers dry stores and benches are kept clean and organized
• Assist with buffet setup and breakdown in Food & Beverage venues
• Support cleaning of associate dining areas
• Dispose of waste correctly and maintain cleanliness of loading docks rubbish areas and bins
• Report breakages hazards and incidents to the Head Chef or Senior Management
• Follow food safety hygiene and Work Health & Safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and follow instructions from the Head Chef and Management

About You:

• Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding or similar role is desirable
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks safely
• Reliable punctual and a strong team player
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
• Valid working rights in Australia
