Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town Malaysia. As a Product Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing innovative products from concept to production ensuring high-quality and efficient manufacturing processes.
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town Malaysia. As a Product Engineer you will play a crucial role in HDD-Media-Head performance characterization.
- You would guide Media Process Engineering team to optimize process to deliver best Media performance at HDD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product specifications and requirements (PM Development and Process Engineering teams)
- Optimize existing products for improved yield performance cost-effectiveness and manufacturability
- Support Media performance optimization from development to high volume production
- Stay updated on industry trends new technologies and manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Drive digitalization initiatives in manufacturing
- Implementing data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics.
- Utilize AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield reliability and performance trends.
- Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for KPI monitoring
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Semiconductor industry
- Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (JMP Minitab SQL) and exposure to Python/R for data science
- Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage)
- Update to date on Industry 4.0 technologies automation and smart factory trends.
- Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or client meetings
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g. Azure AWS) is a plus
