Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities
- Assessment of mental health behaviors with appropriate interventions as ordered by providers.
- Obtain baseline vital signs weight height and complete documentation in computerized patient record system (CPRS).
- Complete the admissions and discharge process along side with the admissions team.
- Successfully utilizes the breathalyzer knowledge of cleaning the device and appropriately document findings in patient medical record per policy.
- Completes mandatory and annual competencies for equipment and procedures adhere to unit-based protocols maintain a current BLS certification and work collaboratively with other disciplines in the Medical Center.
- Participates in in-services and performance improvement activities and customer services programs at unit and service line levels.
- Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care.
- Assesses plans implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
- Considers all characteristics of the individual including age and life stages state of health race and culture values and previous experiences
- Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
- Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Exhibits core elements of performance to include knowledge of unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs.
- Holds a diploma Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program college or university and hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any State; a Bachelors degree is preferred
- At least one year of recent experience in a mental health behavioral health or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Has and maintains current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned duties

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
